BOTOX® Cosmetic Injection : Botulinium Toxin

BOTOX® has been used for years to treat various problems including eye deviation, eyelid spasm as well as facial spasms. When you age, you develop wrinkles and furrows on your face. This may be a result of sun exposure and gravity, or a direct result of facial muscle action of the skin.

BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes muscle areas where there is too much tension. Therefore, it may be used to treat facial lines caused primarily by the action of muscles on the skin. The ideal areas to treat are the deep creases found between the eyebrows, the crows feet wrinkles, and forehead lines.  Click to learn more.

Dermabrasion : Dermaplaning

Dermabrasion and dermaplaning help to “refinish” the skin’s top layers through a method of controlled surgical scraping. The treatments soften the sharp edges of surface irregularities, giving the skin a smoother appearance. Dermabrasion is most often used to improve the look of facial skin left scarred by accidents or previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles, such as those around the mouth. It’s also sometimes used to remove the pre-cancerous growths called keratoses. Dermaplaning is commonly used to treat deep acne scars. Dermabrasion and dermaplaning can be performed on small areas of skin or on the entire face. They can be used alone, or in conjunction with other procedures as facelift, scar removal or revision, or chemical pee,  Click to learn more.

Laser Hair Removal

Traditional hair removal techniques such as shaving, plucking and waxing, provide only temporary relief and may actually stimulate hair growth. Electrolysis, while effective, often requires years of ongoing and frequently painful treatments. All of these methods commonly result in scarring, allergic reactions, and ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment inside the hair follicle without damaging delicate pores and structures of the skin. Because hair cycles through “growth” and “dormant” phases, and because during the “dormant” phase the follicle has no pigment, at least 2 or 3 treatments will be needed.  Click to learn more.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Lasers are very popular tools to use for facial rejuventation. Lasers are the most effective tools available today for eliminating wrinkles. Unlike other resurfacing methods, lasers not only exfoliate the surface of the skin, but they also tighten the skin’s collagen fibers. Some patients find that the skin elasticity is increased after laser treatments.  Click to learn more.

Laser Tattoo Removal

If you have a tattoo that you want removed, then laser tattoo removal is for you. The laser works on the ink of the tattoo to get the color out. The laser has different wavelengths that work on multicolored tattoos. It takes 3-6 sessions for tattoos to fade – each tattoo is different.

Scar Revision

Each person is unique and the way one person scars may be much different from the way another person may scar. Scar revision is performed after the body has had time to heal itself (usually 1 year or so after the initial trauma). Dr. Pousti will meet you at the initial consultation and let you know if a scar revision would be of benifit to you. Frequently, a scar revision can be performed in our office under local anesthetic, allowing you to go home soon after the procedure.  Click to learn more.
